Mari Margaret
I am an improvising violinist performing on international stages. I combine classical musical training with openness to diverse genres and styles. Driven by my passion for literature, I am also pursuing a PhD, blending my two beloved worlds - writing and music. I love exploring new paths of artistic expression that transcend established genres and conventions. My mission is to discover beauty that is often subtle or hidden beneath the surface.
The meaning of my work is reflected in my names. My middle name, Margaret, means pearl - a delicate beauty formed through a process, invisible at first glance. Mari, a new form of the traditional name Maria, symbolizes drawing from classical roots while being in a state of transformation and openness beyond categories. It relates to timeless beauty, gentleness, the sea, and depths of water - the birthplace of the pearl.

She creates improvised, genre-blending compositions, combining classical violin sound with sonoristic effects and live looping. The meaning behind Mari Margaret’s creative identity is reflected in her names. Her middle name, Margaret, means “pearl” – symbolizing subtle beauty that emerges through process and often remains hidden at first glance. Mari, a modern form of the traditional name Maria, expresses a rootedness in classical tradition while remaining open to transformation and new, uncategorized creative spaces. It evokes gentleness, timeless beauty, as well as the depths and the sea – the birthplace of the pearl.
She defines her mission as creating music beyond boundaries – music that touches emotions and carries deeper meaning. Her concerts are interwoven with original spoken word, which enters into dialogue with the music, guiding listeners through journeys across various artistic landscapes. Her repertoire includes chamber and solo performances – classical, contemporary, and meditative.
Mari remains open to collaboration and expresses readiness to contribute conceptually to musical events, drawing on her experience as a music manager.
